Excerpt from the Geographical Dictionary of the Gospel According to Maria Valtorta, by Jean-François Lavère :
At the very beginning of the third year of public life, Jesus sends the Apostles to evangelize along an important Roman road: "by the way of Thabor and the caravans, to Deberet, to Tiberias, Magdala, Capernaum"1. One week later, they report on their activity: "on the road to Deberet, near the country, we have healed someone"2 Archaeological excavations were carried out in 1989 at Khirbet Dabura, at the western foot of Mount Tabor, on the caravan route. This is believed to be the place where the prophetess Deborah lived. The town is mentioned in the Bible[2], and also by Eusebius of Caesarea: "Daberath… a village of the Jews on Mount Tabor"[3]. Maria Valtorta provides here a phonetic spelling (Deberet) that argues in favor of the authenticity of her visions.
