Dwelling, House
The house of God can refer either to his kingdom, or to the Temple of Jerusalem or any other religious building, or to the Heart of man in which God wishes to dwell.
In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"
- Lord, where do you dwell?[1]
- God, the King of kings, has chosen one alone, his Son, to build his house in Hearts. And he has already prepared the materials. All of this is reserved in his Word and He uses these materials to build God's dwelling in you.[2]
- Do not seek God among the proud! He is not there. Do not seek him among hard hearts. He is not there. Do not seek him among those who are hardened. He is not there. He is with the simple, with the pure, with the merciful, with those who are poor in spirit, with the meek, with those who weep without cursing, with those who seek justice, with the persecuted, with the peaceful. It is there that God is.[3]
In the fundamental Christian texts
In the Bible
- If we love one another, God dwells in us and his love is manifested perfectly in us... If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he remains united to God.[4]
