To ask

From Wiki Maria Valtorta

"The child's prayer", taken from: the "Illustrated London News".

The request made to God is a form of prayer, just as ADoration, praise, and the confession of our faults are.

In fundamental Christian texts[edit | edit source]

In the Bible[edit | edit source]

  • I ask for only one thing from the Lord, but I truly desire it.[4]
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.[5]
  • First of all, I urge that petitions, prayers, supplications, and thanksgiving be made to God for all people.[6]
  • You do not have because you do not ask God. And if you ask, you do not receive, because your intentions are evil: you want to spend it all on your pleasures.[7]
  • We receive from God whatever we ask, because we obey His commandments and do what pleases Him.[8]
