Malachi of Ephraim

From Wiki Maria Valtorta
Samaritan, he comes on a delegation from Ephraim to offer hospitality to a pursued Jesus[1] :
- "It is because of all this that we tell you: it would be better for You to stay among us. The Temple hates you and is looking for you to make you suffer. And not only it. You will always remain too much among those who reject you as a reproach. It is not from the Jews that love will come to you."
- "I cannot stay, but I will remember your words. I tell you in any case to persevere in observing the laws of justice that you have remembered and which stem from the precept of love of the Neighbor. The precept which, together with that of love for God, forms the main commandment of the ancient Religion and mine. For the one who lives in righteousness, the path to Heaven is not far. A step will be enough to bring those who are on the neighboring path, separated now only by a point of honor, more than by conviction, onto the path of the Kingdom of God."
At Jesus' departure, Malachi is entrusted with two large sums: one to secure the future of Mary of Jacob, Jesus' hostess, and the other so that the inhabitants can celebrate worthily, at Passover, "the new time."[2]
