Voluntary hatred is contrary to charity. Hatred of the Neighbor is a sin when man deliberately wishes harm upon him. Hatred of the Neighbor is a grave sin when one deliberately wishes serious harm. "Well then! I tell you: Love your Enemies, pray for your persecutors; so you will be sons of your Father who is in heaven..."[1][2]
