Fruits

From Wiki Maria Valtorta
The mature fruit tree that produces persimmons, delicious fruits resembling tomatoes, the persimmon tree, is extremely productive: up to 150 kg of harvest! But its growth is slow: it bears fruit in 7 to 10 years. This can encourage our persistent efforts in view of spiritual Fruits and the final reward of Heaven.

In the Gospel, Jesus teaches to observe the Fruits coming from the Actions of a person who claims to be a messenger or sent by God, in order to recognize if they speak the truth. If the Fruits they give are good, the tree will be good, and vice versa.

In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"[edit | edit source]

  • It is by their fruits that you will recognize them.[1]
  • "(...) Repugnant are the eyes and hands that lie. But the deeds of man, the true deeds, that is, his way of behaving in Family, in commerce, towards the Neighbor and the servants, that is what testifies: 'This one is a servant of the Lord'. For holy Actions are the fruit of a Religion of truth. A good tree does not bear bad fruits and a bad tree does not bear good fruits." [2]
  • Knowing the forbidden fruit: Parallel of the Temptation of Judas with Eve concerning his desire to know the cave of the sorceress (pythoness) at Endor.[3]
  • It is by its fruits that the tree is recognized.[4]
  • I only tell you: listen to the true sound of the words, observe Good, in full light, the Actions of the one who speaks to you, taste the first sip or the first bite offered to you, and if you sense a sour note, if the conduct of another has something dark, if the confession that remains in your Heart troubles you, reject what is offered to you as something that is not good.[5]
