Learn More About This Character
There is a tomb of Saint Marcella at Saint Maximin in the Var (France), alongside those of Mary Magdalene, Saint Maximin, and Saint Sidonia.[5]-[6] Some attribute these Relics to the disciple of Saint Jerome (4th century). This is somewhat incongruous. It is more logical to extrapolate that it is Marcella of Bethany who would have followed the Family of Bethany into its exile.
