Wisdom: Refers to the balanced, natural or acquired knowledge of things, but also the inspired knowledge of divine and human things. It is an attribute of God and a spiritual quality. The gift of wisdom is one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit that allows one to discern Good from evil.[2] True wisdom comes from God, it has its source in His Word. It is in the Old Testament that the Book of Wisdom is found.[3]-[4]
In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"[edit | edit source]
- He who lives from the world and the flesh, and not from God, is not wise. He is not wise, neither for the earth nor for Heaven. For on earth he attracts Enemies, punishments, remorse. And for Heaven, he loses everything for eternity.[5]
- The Soul pure possesses wisdom. It is she who speaks in the Heart of the just man.[6]
- To ascend to Heaven through The Spirit and understand the lessons of Wisdom, one needs a humble, obedient spirit and above all all love, since Wisdom speaks its language, that is to say the language of love, being itself Love. To know its paths, one needs a clear and humble gaze, free from the triple concupiscence. To possess Wisdom, one must buy it with living currency: the Virtues.[7]
- Love for God is wisdom, and it is the Wisdom of all wisdoms because he who loves knows everything and possesses everything.[8]
- The Book of Wisdom should be a code of spiritual life. Like a motherly hand, it should guide you and introduce you to the perfect knowledge of the Virtues and of my Doctrine.[9]

In fundamental Christian texts[edit | edit source]
In the Bible[edit | edit source]
- Praise of Wisdom: In Wisdom there is an intelligent spirit, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, penetrating, without guile, clear, impassible, a friend of Good, swift, irresistible, good-doing, friend of men, firm, sure, without care, who can do all things, watches over all, penetrates through all spirits, the intelligent, the pure, the most subtle. For more than any movement Wisdom is mobile; she passes through and penetrates all things because of her purity. She is indeed an emanation of the power of God, a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty; nothing impure can enter her. For she is a reflection of the eternal light, a spotless mirror of the activity of God, an image of his goodness. Moreover, being alone, she can do all things, remaining in herself, she renews the universe and, from Age to Age passing into holy Souls, she makes them friends of God and prophets; for God loves only those who dwell with Wisdom. She is indeed more beautiful than the sun, surpasses all the constellations; compared to light, she prevails; for light makes way for night, but against Wisdom evil does not prevail. She extends with strength from one end of the world to the other and governs the universe with goodness.[11]
- The gift of Wisdom: I called, and the spirit of Wisdom came to me. I preferred her to scepters and thrones and considered wealth as nothing compared to her. I did not equal her to the most precious stone; for all gold, in comparison to her, is but a little sand, next to her, silver counts as mud. More than health and beauty I loved her and preferred to have her rather than light, because her radiance knows no rest. But with her came all Good things and, through her hands, an incalculable wealth. Of all these Good things I rejoiced, for it is Wisdom that brings them; yet I did not know she was their mother. What I have learned without deceit, I will communicate without jealousy, I will not hide her wealth. For she is an inexhaustible treasure for men, those who acquire her attract the friendship of God, recommended by the gifts that come from instruction. May God give me to speak as I understand and to conceive thoughts worthy of the gifts received, because He is Himself both the guide of Wisdom and the director of the wise; we are indeed in His hand, both we and our words, and all intelligence and all practical knowledge. He gave me an infallible understanding of beings, to know the structure of the world and the activity of the elements, the beginning, the end and the middle of times, the alternations of solstices and changes of seasons, the cycles of the year and the positions of the stars, the nature of animals and the instincts of wild beasts, the power of spirits and the thoughts of men, the varieties of plants and the Virtues of roots. Everything that is Hidden and visible, I have known.[12]
